- I have 5 years of experience teaching relevant topics at the university level as a teaching assistant for the course “Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and You (CSB 201 – H1)” at the University of Toronto. In this course, I provided students with an understanding of basic concepts in molecular biology, genetics and evolution with particular emphasis on human biology.
- I also have experience teaching lab components in my role as instructor for “Research Opportunity Program courses (ROP299Y and ROP399Y)” at the University of Toronto. In this course, I provided science students with training in various lab techniques, as well as basic knowledge in genetics, and cell and developmental biology. In both roles, I was involved in the development and renewal of the course curriculum.
- Based on my teaching and research experience, I can teach the following biology subjects: 1) Genetics, 2) Cell biology, 3) Development, 4) Evolution, 5) Cancer Biology and 6) Molecular Biology.
